The short version
There are no accounts on drk.vc and nothing to sign up for. The site counts visits without cookies, and the tools here do their work in your browser. The one place another company's cookies can come in is the short video ad Soundbite plays when you choose a 1080p or 1440p download.
Visit counts
drk.vc uses Vercel Web Analytics to see which pages are read and where readers come from: the page, the site that linked to it, the country, and the kind of device and browser. It sets no cookies and builds no profile of you. A visitor is told apart only by a hash that is thrown away within a day.
Vercel hosts the site, so like any web host it handles the requests your browser sends, including your IP address, to deliver the pages.
Soundbite
- Your recording, its captions and your pictures are worked on in your browser. They are never uploaded to drk.vc.
- The design you make and the pictures you add are kept in your browser's own storage, so the next clip can start the same way. Clearing the site's data removes them.
- The speech model that writes the captions is downloaded from Hugging Face the first time, so Hugging Face sees that request.
- When you search the free photos, videos and stickers, your search words go to Pixabay, Pexels or GIPHY through drk.vc's server, and the results load from their servers. Stickers and GIFs from KLIPY are searched straight from your browser.
Ads in Soundbite
360p and 720p downloads are free and play no ad. A 1080p or 1440p download plays one or two short ads first. Google's ad code loads only when you choose one of those sizes, never on the rest of the site.
Those ads are served by Google. Google and its partners use cookies to show ads based on your earlier visits to this and other websites. You can turn off personalised ads in Google's My Ad Center, and read how Google uses information from sites that use its services. Visitors in the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland are asked for their consent first.
Whales and Sharps
These pages read public market data from Hyperliquid and Polymarket. Some of it comes through drk.vc's server and some straight from your browser. A wallet you look up is a public address and is not stored.
Donations
The Donate page shows wallet addresses and QR codes. Nothing about you is recorded when you open it, and a tip goes from your wallet straight to the blockchain.
